Legislation exists in Australia in the form of Electricity Acts and Electricity Regulations (or equivalent) applicable in each state and territory that require declared electrical articles to be approved by an Electrical Regulator or certified by a body acceptable to the regulators and other non declared articles to meet the requirements of the relevant standard.
Australian Certification Services offers certification to those suppliers of Electrical products and components to the relevant standard/s under the Electrical Product Safety Certification Scheme (EPSCS)
